Vehicle description
This 1977 Porsche 930 Turbo was fully restored in 2024 by Porsche Louisville, a premier Porsche dealer, for entry into the Porsche Classic Restoration Challenge. The over-the-top, no-expense-spared project culminated in top honors with a first-place finish in both the People's Choice and Restoration categories at the 2024 event. It is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-6 engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. Originally purchased in Texas by longtime enthusiast and businessman Charles Osborn, the car later relocated with him to Louisville in the 1980s before being gifted to his son, Colin. The vehicle remained undriven in storage for 15 years, necessitating an extensive restoration that included a complete engine rebuild, suspension restoration and a reworked electrical system, along with the replacement of fuel lines, drive belts and other critical components. Finished in its factory Peru Red exterior with a Cork leather interior, this example reflects meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail, with every system and surface returned to factory specification to allow the 930 Turbo to perform as it did when new. Documented restoration receipts from Blue Grass Automotive totaling $594,991 are included, as well as a bound coffee-table picture book highlighting the restoration journey. 11,000 actual miles.
